I grew up on a farm north of Hazel, SD with four sisters. I miss the farm during planting and harvest seasons, but I don't miss the rock picking season! I still love the smell of a cow yard in the spring or a freshly cut alfalfa field.

 

I graduated from Hamlin High School and then from SDSU in 1983 with a degree in horticulture. I worked at Lakeland Nurseries and Cliff Avenue Greenhouse in Sioux Falls before moving to Lake Norden with Rusty in 1987.

 

In 1997 I started working part-time for J&R in Accounts Payable.

 

Rusty and I are raising four children - Alex (19) a student at the University of Minnesota), Emily (15), Abby (11) and Kirby (8). In my spare time, I enjoy working in my yard and going to my children's activities.
