I am a native of South Dakota raised on a farm southeast of Trent. I graduated from Dell Rapids High School and the University of Minnesota Crookston with a degree in Diversified Ag.

I started farming in 1989 and am presently farming. I have been in feed sales since 1994 working for Cargill, Colton Elevator and J&R Distributing.

My wife Thelma and I were married in 1990. She is a farm girl from South Dakota. We have three daughters, Emily, Sarah, and Mallory. As a family we enjoy camping, movies, ballgames, and keeping busy with all the kid's activities.

My hobbies are hunting, golfing, and enjoying the outdoors.
