I grew up raising cattle and hogs in central Kansas. This was a diversified farming operation with alfalfa, wheat, milo, soybeans and prairie hay. My first employment off the farm was fitting and showing cattle for registered operations. Then I worked as a feed sales consultant for Vigortone Ag Products for ten years. The last seven of those were in management. The next ten years were spent with DuCoa in territory sales marketing in nine western states. I have always looked forward to working with farmers and ranchers to help them improve their bottom line. In my spare time I like to work with my registered Hereford cow herd developing bulls and heifers for sale. My hobbies include helping youth through FFA and 4-H understand why we raise livestock for the American consumer. I would love to play a round of golf. I met my wife Jessye, in Nebraska where she is a native “Husker” and “Go Big Red” is the state’s language. We have one daughter, Rachel.
