Peter Fransky
Nutritionist
I was born in southeastern East Germany and moved to West Germany near Frankfurt/Main as a young child (post World War 2 evacuation). I received most of my education (grade school, high school, vocational education, under and post graduate education) in West Germany. I came to the United States in 1965 under an international work/study program in agriculture and attended the University of Minnesota and other U.S. universities.
Research and development, teaching and applied animal science and multi-specie nutrition have been enjoyable and rewarding for me for over 40 years. I enjoy learning, with a practical application toward the betterment of livestock, mankind and our environment.
In 1969 I married Lois, a Minneapolis city girl, who adapted well to life on the west central Minnesota diversified farm. We are blessed with five children: Tiffany 39, Ken 37, Collin 26, Landon 24 and Heidi 22. We have four grandchildren from our son Ken and daughter-in-law Bobbie Jo. We are still operating our 160-acre farm near Bellingham, Minnesota, which was and still is a great place to raise a family. We enjoy farming, gardening, working, playing, fishing and a little hunting when time permits. Most of all, we enjoy our family and friends. We count our blessings every day.
Having joined J&R Feeds and Distributing in February of 2005, I'm happy to be part of an open-minded team of progressive good people bringing livestock production agriculture into the future.
I have no favorite color or food-all of them are great! Being far from perfect, I choose to be responsible and believe in creation. One of my mottos is "What is play to the child, work should be for adult man or woman." I'm just a big kid, so let's play while we can! |
