I am a native of Minnesota. I grew up in Herman, Minnesota where I attended High School.

 

After graduating High School I attended Fergus Falls Community College where I studied organic chemistry. After college I became a herdsman on a 250-sow farrow to finish and 1000 head feeder cattle operation out side of Donnelly, Minnesota. After leaving the farm I went to work for Moormon Feeds as a salesman in 1980 working in the Willmar, Minnesota area. In the spring of 1984 I joined Cargill and moved to Scotland, South Dakota. I moved to Mission Hill, S.D. in 1995 where I live today. In July of 1999 I joined the J&R team where I work in the field with swine and cattle producers.

 

I am married to Peggy and have three children who are grown and started lives of their own.

 

My hobbies are fishing, hunting, golfing, cooking and I raise and train my own horses.
