I was born in Parkston, SD and grew up on a diversified grain and livestock operation. I attended grade school and high school in Parkston. In 1982 I graduated from SDSU with majors in Animal Science Business and Animal Science Production and with a minor in Economics. After graduating from SDSU I worked in the feed industry with the Nutrena Feed division of Cargill. As a territory manager I helped develop a dealer network in SE South Dakota and sold all classes of livestock feeds. In 1993 we moved from Sioux Falls, SD to an acreage near Parkston where we hobby farm and raise Angus cattle and registered Suffolk sheep. In April of 1999 I joined J&R Distributing as Sales Manager. Being in the feed industry has allowed me to meet and work with a lot of talented people.

 

In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors. I grew up with a family that loves to hunt and fish. I am married and have 2 children. My wife Teri was born in Wagner, SD and moved with her family to a farm near Parkston when she was in 6th grade. We have a son Jonathan and a daughter Kristin.
