I was born in Watertown, SD and grew up in Volga where I attended and graduated from Sioux Valley High School in 1981. After working on the family farm by Castlewood for 10 years, I then purchased my own dairy farm 3 miles East of Estelline. While farming I also managed the feed mill in Estelline for 4 years before coming on board with J&R Feeds in Lake Norden where I did purchasing and managed the warehouse for 7 years. Then I went to outside sales full time, where I am currently working for J & R Feeds. I’ve been with the company for over 9 years!

 

I got married in 1985 to a Lake Norden native, Nancy. We have three children. Amanda, who is married with 1 child, Jennifer who is in college and engaged, and Elizabeth who is still at home. I enjoy hunting, fishing and working with the cattle on my farm.
