I grew up on a farm near Hoven, SD and graduated from Hoven High School in 1989.  After high school I joined the National Guard and served in the Gulf War in Operation Desert Storm.

I married my wife Waneta in 1991 and we have five children, a daughter at SDSU, a son who is a senior at Hamlin High School, a daughter who is a freshman at Hamlin High School, and two more boys, one in first grade and one in kindergarden at Hamlin.  Waneta is a nurse at the Lake Norden care center.

I have worked for J & R since Sept of 2004 as a delivery driver.

In my spare time I enjoy golf and hunting.
