Feeding Recommendations

When feeding corn treated or non-treated prior to storage it must be fed with toxin binders as follows:

Aflatoxin only – use Novasil at 0.25#/head/day for cattle (dairy and beef)

and 10-20#/ton of feed for poultry and swine

All other toxins – use high quality toxin binders at this rate:

30 grams/head/day for dairy and beef

20 grams/head/day for swine or

25#/ton of swine or poultry complete feed depending on type of toxin binder product

JR carries a number of high quality toxin binder products.

In addition it is recommended to add to the complete feed for all species:

Sodium Bentonite at 10-20 lbs./ton

And Sodium Bicarbonate at 5-10 lbs./ton

And Yeast, MOS at different rates for different species using

JR Yeast 2x Farmpack

In a TMR (total mixed rations) feeding program, use JR Dry Ration Enhancer at the rate of 3-4 lbs./ton on an as fed feed.
